We began Fast Freddie’s Rod Shop several years ago in order to offer high quality restorations and modifications of muscle cars. The muscle car era was a great time for the big three to show the American public what Detroit had to offer. Now, we can take that great, classic styling and enhance it with all the parts and products available in the aftermarket today. Our approach is to look at the big picture and determine how you are going to use your car. Based on that, we come up with a package tailored to your specific needs. We spend a lot of time staying current with our parts suppliers to ensure the cars we build are the best they can be. Not only that, they become a true reflection of the owner’s individuality. After all, that’s what makes this country what it is!

At Fast Freddie’s we are not just about muscle cars. We like anything that’s cool – hot rods, customs, bikes, fridges, you name it…. Take a look at our projects page and you’ll see we don’t get stuck in a rut – we’re always looking for something different.

When you become a customer at Fast Freddie’s, we work closely with you to develop a plan for your vehicle to insure your goals, objectives and budget are met. We continually send you photo updates of work in process, call and email you to get your input and discuss your vehicle’s progress. Our success depends on your satisfaction and we don’t take that for granted. Feel free to contact us through e-mail, phone, or social media. We’re ready when you are!

Fast Freddie, Jr. has been a motor head since childhood. At age 16, his first car was a '73 Camaro project car that he and Sr. put together and he owns it to this day. Freddie worked for several years at a large restoration firm as business manager. Seeking independence in order to operate a shop the way he felt customer's needs should be handled, he teamed with Sr. to open Fast Freddie's Rod Shop. Freddie is a hands on guy, working in the shop and managing the business.

Freddie Sr. has always been involved with cars, working at the local drag strip in high school and later collecting Studebakers for many years. Sr. helps out at the shop when time permits, and is involved with marketing the business including attending car shows.

Having completed Dan’s Chevy’s, we are turning our attention back to 2 very cool Mopars.
Sal and Juanita’s ’70 Challenger R/T convertible and Daniel’s ’71 Challenger road race car.

The numbers-matching 1970 Challenger R/T Convertible will be on display at the Mopars in the Park show again this year, but this time it will be rolling and painted. You may remember the car from our display last year when it was a bare shell in primer. Well, we’ve began the final assembly efforts and we thought we’d bring the car along to the show so everyone can see the car with the flawless F4 green paint job. With a 496” stroker big block lurking under the hood; this car will be sure to turn heads with its looks and sound!

On the other end of the spectrum, Daniel’s ’71 Challenger is a purpose built car, made for cutting corners on a road race course, while still being street legal. We are completing the mock-up of the car to a driving stage so we, along with Daniel, can test, tune and shake (read thrash) the car down to make sure everything is working properly. The car is being built with a tip of the hat to the “Classic Wax Challenger”, once campaigned by Sam Posey in the early days of SCCA Trans Am Racing. With a twisted Wisconsin variation, we’ve dubbed the car “Black Wax Challenger” to pay homage to our beloved aged black wax cheddar. With an EFI’d rollerized 408” small block and a Tremec 5 speed trans, this will be one bad to the bone race car, while remaining just legal enough to hit the streets. Follow both builds on our projects page.

Mopars in the Park, June 2 & 3, 2012 is held at the Dakota County Fairgrounds in Farmington, MN. This is the largest all Mopar show held in the Midwest and is only second in size to the Mopar Nationals. Last year, over 1,100 cars were on display!

Again this year, our display will be across from the main judging field. Stop by to visit with us and check out the cars we will have on display.
